No one is perfect; yet, so often we are condemned for making mistakes. This life is challenging enough without having to worry about how others feel about us. The Bible is the greatest literary piece that has ever been written. It is filled with love stories, career advancements, happy families and triumphant warriors. It also has embezzlers, hostages, idolaters and murderers. One passage can give a lifelong message summed up in one sentence; while another lifelong message takes over 40 years to learn. It will make you cry and laugh and sing and dance as well as become frustrated and serious and challenged and upset. But all in all, you are comforted by the message of love and peace that only Jesus can give. Through the ministry of DIW, watch those very emotions come to life. The playwright and actors take you on a mystical journey that will keep you on the edge of you seat with anticipation and intrigue. The word of God teaches us in 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace.” Since we are all gifted by God to serve, we would be poor stewards of our gifts and abilities if we did not use them in the service of the Lord. Having the gift to write, act, sing, produce, direct and play instruments are only a few of the gifts demonstrated by DIW. We proudly use the gifts that God has given us to uplift His people through drama. We are blessed to be able to share with everyone what God has shared with us. And what better way to do it than through acting out His Biblical teachings. We are all gifted, the Bible says in James that Every good and perfect gift comes from above.
