“Dramatically Inspired Works Vocals” are a group of anointed and tremendously talented singers. In 2005, playwright Denisee Gaston put this group together, to give her first play; “A Second Chance at Christmas”, a greater message through song. The Vocals have performed in all four plays; “The House I Live In”, “Solomon: LoveHim, LeaveHim”, and recently “F.A.C.E.S.” (Faith Always Conquers Every Storm). The DIW Vocals are from the Toledo area and from various backgrounds. When the DIW Vocals come together and lift their voices in praise, it is a soul stirring experience. With a commitment to uplift God’s message through song; the DIW Vocals have been blessing audiences now for 9 years.
The DIW Vocals are blessed to have Arielle Campbell as one of their soloists and also their Musical Director. Present Musicians: Rev. Mark Smaw, Rev. Michael Johnson, Wayne Harris, and Mike Darby. Other Musicians: Phillip Conley Jr., Chris McQueen, Marquise Baker, and Isiah Johnson. DIW has also been fortunate to have had many other wonderful, gifted and talented soloists who also played an important part in this ministry and who are successful artists, such as; “The Difference”, Darius Coleman, Tawann Gaston, Regina Wilson and Charlene Ransom. These individuals contributed to the success of DIW’s past and present plays.
