I have always had a love for Broadway Musicals; “West Side Story”, “South Pacific and “The Wiz”, to name a few. I added this concept with good Gospel Music and it equaled “Dramatically Inspired Works”. I wrote my first play eleven years ago, which is called; “A Second Chance at Christmas”. Usually performed at Christmas; this story is based on the Novel “A Christmas Carol”. Our main character Scott; is a man who has everything and is a Deacon of a great Church. Although he is a faithful member and attends regularly; he has not allowed the Word of God to enter his heart. He is selfish, conceited, and all about show. He has an encounter with a few Angels and realizes he is missing the most important ingredient; Christ.
The second play “The House I Live In” tells the story of a Father and his family’s different levels of faith and the choices we make. The third play, “Solomon, Love Him-Leave Him”; is the story of a charming Architect/Writer who is smitten by a beautiful night club singer. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and also destroyed the Beast. This story reminds us to keep our promises to God and that an Idol God is anything you put before Him.
I love writing stories that provoke all the emotions causing us to think and problem solve by using our Faith. These productions also give adult and youth actors the opportunity to display their talents, while sending out a positive message to the community.
